As the industry leader in metabolomics analysis, Creative Proteomics has built a comprehensive mass spectrometry platform to provide global precision semi-quantitative analysis service of metabolites to customers worldwide.
Metabolomics is a comprehensive study of the metabolites of living organisms in a specific environment, which can reveal the relationship between metabolites and life activities. Mass spectrometry has the advantages of high throughput, high efficiency, and high resolution, and has been widely used in the detection of metabolites. Targeted metabolomics has high precision, but can only detect known metabolites, which cannot meet the needs of customers to analyze a broad spectrum of metabolites. Therefore, techniques capable of semi-quantitative analysis of a wide range of metabolites have received extensive attention. However, in actual operation, a huge semi-quantitative analysis deviation may be caused due to the ratio deviation of the signal. Creative Proteomics can ensure the accuracy of semi-quantitative analysis service through signal correction.
Service Content of Semi-Quantitative Analysis of Metabolites
Creative Proteomics solved the problem of rapid update of metabolites, effectively shortened sample collection and processing time, and ensured the authenticity and reliability of data. Depending on the type of experimental sample, different chemical isotopes are selected to label the metabolites, which can be combined with LC-MS or MALDI-TOF-IMS analysis to evaluate target metabolites in sample mixtures. Our service does not lose metabolite information and is extremely accurate. It can quickly and effectively perform semi-quantitative analysis of metabolites in plasma, feces, intestinal contents, tissue, and other samples.
We can perform semi-quantitative analysis of thousands of metabolites, mainly including the following types.
- Esters
- Lipids
- Terpenoids
- Flavonoids
- Alcohols
- Alkaloids
- Amino acids
- Catecholates
- Phenols
- Steroids
- Fatty acids
- Prostaglandi
- Nucleotides
- Polyamines
- Organic acids
- Organic amines

Requirements for Samples
- Microbial and cellular samples: rapidly inactivates metabolic activity (quenching) while keeping cells from lysing.
- Animal body fluids: pre-treatment should be performed quickly after sampling, such as adding anticoagulants and preservatives, and immediately freezing (-80℃).
- Plant samples: frozen (liquid nitrogen) immediately after collection, and then transferred to -80℃ for storage, 200 mg/case.
- Serum sample: 150 µL/case, must avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Blood was collected in centrifuge tubes and allowed to stand for 30 minutes for coagulation. Centrifuge at 8000 rpm for 10 minutes, take the supernatant and aliquot into cryopreservation tubes and store in liquid nitrogen or -80℃ for cryopreservation.
