Creative Proteomics has extensive experience and unique insights in protein identification and can provide research teams and scholars working in proteomics and related fields with personalized service to meet any need you may have in your project.
Protein is an important undertaker of various reactions in living organisms and participates in important activities such as metabolism, information transmission, and immune stress in living organisms. Proteins have multi-level structures, and research and identification of protein sequence information can help researchers discover the characteristics of different proteins and the mechanisms involved in life activities. Identification of proteins is mainly accomplished by mass spectrometry facilities. It mainly uses protease to digest the protein into a mixture of peptide fragments, and then uses ESI, MALDI, and other technical means to separate different peptide fragments to obtain the mass spectrum peak map, and then compare the mass spectrum peak map to obtain accurate protein information. Creative Proteomics can provide efficient and accurate protein identification services for proteins in protein extracts, SDS-PAGE protein bands, protein glue spots, pull-down, and co-IP samples.
Service Content of Protein Identification (In-Gel, Spot, Solution)
- Protein spectrum identification of purified proteins.
- Protein profiling of unknown proteins in complex samples.
- Protein profiling of pull-down proteins, co-IP proteins, and simply mixed proteins.
- Provides extensive mass spectrometry identification including protein spots/bands, solutions.
Mass Spectrometry Facilities and Projects
- ABI 4800 MALDI-TOF/TOF
- Electrospray Ionization Mass Spectrometry (ESI-MS)
- Liquid Chromatography- Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS)
- Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)
- Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization-Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS)
Requirements for Samples
- The samples provided by customers can be bands or protein spots from SDS-PAGE gels, or solution samples.
- Gel spots: Coomassie-stained gel and silver-stained gel spots are visible.
- Gel strips: Coomassie-stained gel and silver-stained gel strips are visible, single protein, purity > 90%.
- Protein solution: single protein, total protein > 5 μg, concentration > 0.1 μg/μL, protein purity > 90%.
- Note that although silver-stained gel is acceptable, we strongly recommend that you use Coomassie staining. It is recommended to take a photo of the sample gel before sending it and provide it with the sample submission process, which can be photocopied or electronically. Sample gel strips/spots can be placed in a microcentrifuge tube with a small amount of ddH2O before shipping.
- Please provide detailed information for each sample, such as specific concentration, volume, preparation time, and source. (If there are groups, describe the group analysis information in detail.)
Our Advantages
- Transparent pricing, no hidden fees.
- It has advanced experimental facilities and has a short experimental period.
- Identification can be performed on a variety of sample types, including tapes, glue dots, liquids, and more.
