Complex mixture analysis refers to using mass spectrometry facilities to analyze complex protein mixture samples, which can be simple protein mixtures or complex sample mixtures. Commonly mixed protein samples include hybrid protein solutions of extracted cells or tissues, protein strips cut from SDS-PAGE gels, protein samples pulled down by pull-down, and protein products of IP and Co-IP experiments. Creative Proteomics utilizes advanced mass spectrometry facilities to analyze known or unknown proteins in mixtures, and even deficient concentrations of protein samples can be identified by mass spectrometry.

Service Content of Complex Mixture Analysis

At Creative Proteomics, we identify complex protein mixtures through several unidimensional and multidimensional approaches. For complex samples, the samples were first subjected to solution digestion with multidimensional protein identification (MUDPit), then separated by electrostatic repulsion hydrophilic interaction chromatography (ERLIC) HPLC, and then analyzed by reversed-phase chromatography (RPLC). For simple samples, we can perform GeLC, where the entire lane of the SDS-PAGE gel is cut into sections, providing the user with a two-dimensional separation of protein mixtures based on protein intact molecular weight (SDS-PAGE), followed by individual peptides hydrophobicity was determined by reversed-phase chromatography (RPLC). Finally, the exact sequence of the peptide segment is obtained by data analysis and the complete sequence of each protein is assembled.

Requirements for Samples

  • We accept animal tissue samples, cell samples, microorganisms, and other types of samples, and provide tissue sample pretreatment services. Animal tissue should be more significant than 200 mg, and liquid samples should be greater than 2.5 mL.
  • Note that samples must be shipped with sufficient dry ice.
  • Please provide the specific concentration, volume, preparation time, and source of each sample. And inform the sample information as well as the control and experimental samples (if there is a group, describe the group information in detail.)
